Bit of an in-joke this one. The Wachowski brothers are often accused of copying a lot of the matrix from the manga Ghost in the Shell by the artist Masamune Shirow. What if they'd stolen some things from some of Shirow's other works as well? Or, in other words, Trinity should have been an anime cat-girl.
