FanArt: Stealer of SoulsOkay, I know, unimaginative title. This was a quick painting done while waiting for the paint on 'Venit Tempestatis' to dry. Took about 20 minutes. It's Elric and Stormbringer in a style I thought the prof might like, but which he never even noticed. Go figure. ;) (Retouching done: edges straightened, mat added, colors adjusted to closer to original. Dimensions: Appx 9 x 20ish)

I like "The Scream!" Can't paint like that, but I like it! ^_^ Ya know... this is kinda nightmarey... not as much as "The Scream" tho...
| 15 Dec 2000 | Brian Vigue | It's got complimentary coloration, it's free-flowing, simple yet tells a story. This is the type of stuff that would do great on a sidewalk art sale! What I do are illustrations that don't get recognized on an artistic level whereas something like this would! Hey Malcom, check this one out!Heh, the big secrets of this one? Boredom and frustration. I was so frustrated with the faces in "Venit Tempestatis" that I outright refused even a semblance of Elric's face beyond the eyes. I like the slanty red eyes... *g* Know what, tho? It got overlooked at both critiques... | |
| 13 Mar 2001 | Melissa Rani | vaguely scary... ummm I think because it reminded me of a nightmare. nice job and the prof should have noticed the painting! He must!!! lol. keep up the good art!Eh, prof doesn't like me anyway, I'll live. *l* | |
| 27 May 2001 | David Beaumont | Freaky. I'd see that figure come into people's nightmares to do that soul-stealing thingy. But what's the axe-like thing for?Actually, it's kind of a silhouette of the sword Stormbringer, which is what Elric uses for the soul-stealing.... | |
| 1 Jun 2001 | Andrea Jelen | I love the way this picture tells a story about Elric´s relationship to Stormbringer....looks as if they were fighting against each other, standing in a river of blood. Great picture! | |
| 3 Nov 2001 | Kim Marie Vilimek | Yay it's Elric! God I love those books! Michael Moorcock is the best! I drew an Elric image too, it's up in my fantasy gallery but it doesn't get very many comments. But I'm blabing one. Lots of fan suport here, woohoo, you rock! | |
| 4 Nov 2001 | Yuri | Y4h3! I love this one. Although I'm not triled about that big pole thing in the the middle.
Great job Miss. Cassel, YuriSword, my friend, the sentient sword Stormbringer, from which Elric can never be free, hence it being in the middle, crossing his body.

| 30 Jul 2002 | Oromis at SPD | 'Candyfloss Cowboy, what's wrong with you? You are brutal and scared, you destroy all the things which bewilder you. The bells in the tower ring out to you. You ain't got your share So you're on your way to the fair To find something there To meet someone To have some fun!
The Fairground is dark and dead, a light flickers on and off again, an engine begins to hum. You wait for the thrum which will bring you to life for an hour or two...
Oh dude, I can hear you ocrying out from inside...' (MM, Deep Fix, 'The New World's Fair') Available at www.multiverse.org
Excellent depiction of one who is a sort of soul companion...
