FanArt: ImrryrAn older pic using less sophisticated techniques (and an odd style of shading), created for an online contest. (No, it didn't win a darn thing.) Moorcock with a twist--the images had to have gargoyles in them, so gargoyles Elric and Moonglum became. The scene is set somewhere in Stormbringer, I believe, and the sky should be red but it's not because I flaked out on that.
| | | | | Date | Name | Comment | | | 3 Nov 2000 | Brian Vigue | Hey! This is one of my faves! I knew this gallery was missing something at first! You may think the technique was simple, but it's a very professional-looking piece! Esp. the way the sun shines on the rocks! Bravo! | |
| 5 Dec 2000 | Elfwood artist: Anne Eva McDonald, ( Maybe I'll put up a corrected version of this (with the red sky and everything!) | |
| 17 Feb 2001 | Jennifer D. De Salme | Actually, this reminds me of cell style shading... I like it, personally. ^_^ | |

And I'm gig ta bed now! Elric's SEXAY! ^_~ And Stormbringer (the sword) is close to my height. O.o
| 3 Jun 2001 | Danielle Williams | Ah, cel-style shading. Yesyes. I like the story this tells. | |
| 3 Nov 2001 | Shari Fedak | Ah, yes, cel shading. The fuzzier bits on the rocks look a bit inconsistent, though, because that is the only place that that "style" of shading shows up. | |
| 4 Nov 2001 | Yuri | I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!! I realy like the sword. ^_~ Because i am FIGHTER!! Fighter: "I like swords" Black Mage: "Shut #*@! up!" Fighter: "I like swords!" Black Mage: "Thats it! Hitoken!!!!" GAME OVER Black mage has WON!!! Black Mage: "I think he has a finale word.?." Fighter: "*gasp* I...like...Swords...!" "HITOKEN!!!" Black Mage has won!!! | |
| 25 Dec 2001 | William Henry Bakke | GARGOYLES!! I swear these look like the GARGOYLES from GARGOYLES!! I LOVE GARGOYLES!!! ..::does a dance::: opps.. Sorry kindof happy today.. my only good day in the last week! Allison Leigh Cassel replies: "*l* They ARE Gargoyles from the Disney show! Or, at any rate, inspired for them and done for a fandom-based (and defunct) contest... I used to do far more of these, not anymore. But the pointed finger style did in fact get stuck in my other art. >." | |
| 30 Jul 2002 | Oromis at SPD | Ulp.. You've merged the Kinslayer with his dragon... I'm lost on the merry-go-round again... Fantastic concept. Allison Leigh Cassel replies: "*l* I take it you're a Moorcock fan from your other comments. Not really a dragon, per se, but a gargoyle, in response to a contest (that I didn't win) to do something to that effect. Basically, it was "any comic book character," so I kinda merged two of the graphic versions for this..." | |
| 31 Oct 2002 | crystalhaze | This one is very good. I'm pretty bad with color so I appreciate your use of it. Also I'm a big fan of manga and anime and it looks as though they might have been influences, if not you should really check it out.....specially if you like elves, magic, and such. Allison Leigh Cassel replies: "Well, this one's from around the earliest parts of my anime/manga influence influx... In truth, the main influences on this one are Disney's Gargoyles, and some Elric comics (american and OLD)...Since those kind of things were so strong on influencing me early on, I still can't do things like hair and eyes quite "anime" style... ^_^;;" | |
