Hello, everyone. I'm Cat. I'm a Brit, who's recently turned (not sweet) 16, and although I'm not one of those people who puts everything into their art, injecting layers of meaning and all that guff, I DO enjoy it. Especially drawing. Most of the things you'll see here will be a result of the atrocious levels of boredom to which my teachers will stoop in order to get the point across at school, and also of odd bursts of creativeness (before which, I seem to forget the boundaries of my talent, and after which I can usually be found muttering bitterly in a corner)... I truly wish I had the level of control (and lack of laziness) over a pencil of most of the other artists here at Elfwood, (and, btw, I'm amazed to count myself as one), but nothing has ever come so naturally to me, without lessons or advice, as drawing. Don't get me wrong, I'm no Leonardo (Da Vinci, that is, for other blondes out there) by any stretch of the imagination, but if there's something getting me down, or I'm worried (and that's a common thing, being a teen)- drawing lets me escape. On the rare occassions on which I will get something perfect in my mind, and produce a mirror image on paper, I go all - well - warm and fuzzy inside. Although I have done quite a few cartoons of normal scenes (none up to Elfwood standards, I'm afraid - I once harboured the delusion that I'd like to become a fashion designer, you see), I have been 'into' Fantasy, in particular, for some years (a huge amount of my earlier drawings are orientated around Harry Potter), and I love the whole genre now.
