It's easiest just to get right to the details. Most of my artistic ability is self-taught. I learned by copying the styles of my favorite illustrators (so if what you see posted seems inconsistent with other stuff it's because I'm still trying to find the right style). I took maybe one art class in high school (got a 'B' I think), but that was a long time ago. My favorite art is comic and cartoon art and I hope to someday sell my own comic series (and parlay it into a huge money-making empire. Capitalism is good!). My favorite artists include Michael Golden (GIJoe, Micronauts and other Marvel stuff), John Byrne (many things, including the Fantastic Four and the revamped Superman) and Doug Wildey (created the original Jonny Quest). Don't know about commissions or trades yet. Let's just see if anybody actually wants to first.

7 Sep 2003	Darin S. Houston	Loading... Oops, forgot to login on my other comment, just wanted to say, don't feel too bad on the age thing.....lol. One of my favorite childhood memories is picking up Micronauts #3 I think, Golden became one of my favorites and I still get nostalgic when I look back at them and remember the good ol days when comics were new and fresh and I read and reread them over and over again! I still collect but I havn't been able to recapture that magic since the late 80s. Thanx reminding me of happier, simpler times! Darrin A. Colbourne replies: "Thanks! What kills me is that there seems to be no such thing as a Michael Golden fan page. Do a search on him on the net and you get a bunch of one-line comments in comic articles and maybe a pic (if you're lucky). His work on Micronauts was great, but his best work was on The 'Nam and G.I.Joe."
