There's something about how the dream image is as vivid as Snape himself. Poor guy. I always did think he was a cool creep in the books, and he just got upgraded when I read the little hints to his past in the latest book. Makes a change from the guy whose childhood was bad and who rose above it to become tragically heroic. Oh wait.
