OMG that is way awesome! ^_^ i love the movies and it looks just like him! that is way awesome!
i have to agree tho. i love how the colours that don't necisarially pertain to a certain area is used there making the picture even more real.
i really like the expression on his face too.
keep up the awesome work!

I will marry Pippin someday. Or Billy Boyd. They're just so uber-cute and huggle-able. Mmmmmm. (I'm only *slightly* obsessive) But yes, I agree that it's getting there. Not that I have room to comment, at the moment my gallery is busy paying homage to yours...but anyway, it does sort of look like him, and that's a very decent start!

*does second post jig*
I totaly knew it was pippin from the thumbnail too, nice use of color. I agree on the expression he has. Keep up the good work!

Woo, colours! I could tell it was him from the thumbnail. This looks just like the expression Pippin has in the scene in FotR where Frodo accidentally does his Ring Goes On act in the Prancing Pony, and Pippin does a double-take... yeah I know, I'm a TOTAL LotR geek if I can point out which SCENE he has this expression and lighting... oh man I watch those movies too much... Great job with the value and shading and all that, keep practicing and I'm sure you'll get to that "hey it actually looks like PIPPIN!" stage. (I know it's hard for me, *I* certainly can't do a satisfactory drawing of him, not that it stops me from trying...) Peace out.

WOW i love it! im such a lord of the rings dork... i'll sit and watch the movies over and over, and not get sick of them. Pippin is one of my favorite characters and i love the expression on his face in your picture. it's almost like he's suprised or distressed or somthing like that. i love it!

By far, Pippin is my fav character from LOTR, I just love the actor. (Billy Boyd, I think) Awesome pic, I just want to know how you do it!
