FanArt: The Plan

These are what you might call "Fan Characters" as they were created being from the same universe as the Irwin Allen TV show "Land of the Giants"

Background is this. Long after the end of the show, As per the usual a couple of the earthlings had been captured and ended up being used in crude DNA experiments. As a result Ake (on the left) and Jake (on the right) were created. They were intended for use in hunting down and eliminating the Earthlings for the SID having wasted much of their funding and time trying to do so themselves.

The captured earthlings escaped and took the two "cubs" with them. The group raised Ake and Jake. The cubs later took on the surname of the Captain as a respectful gesture. Having no clothes of their own they had to wear the humans' clothing modified for their tails of course.

I personally think the ship really turned out good. Didn't think I'd do quite so well on the Spindrift but Doing it merely from memory it looks pretty good. The cockpit windows bother me but then I don't wanna have to draw the interior of the cockpit from memory.

Nice image.
Looks like an MS-paint achievement , is it?

:-) D. 'Kei' Douglass replies: "Not MS but Oekaki BBS paint. Pretty close to the same thing really though BBs can do alot of things that MS can't."

Nice 1
What computer-programme did you use?

:-) D. 'Kei' Douglass replies: "It's actually drawn on what's called an "Oekaki" board. It's an online applet. The type of Oekaki I typicly use is BBS Paint."

Can't believe I managed to get here first. This is just SO cool. Everything looks so... uh... "real", somehow.
This is a lovely pic, everything is just so... great.

:-) D. 'Kei' Douglass replies: "Thnx very much. I usually suck at backgrounds and I like to think I did a good job on the spindrift.. My favorite part is the lil glowy lights on the visable ship engine."

This has an uncanny resemblance to one of my drawings. Including the name.

:-) D. 'Kei' Douglass replies: "I've visited your page and saw your image by the same title and I have to admit they do have a striking resemblance. I asure you though that it is completely unintentional. My image is actually loosly based off a screen cap from the TV show Ake and Jake were modeled from. Found here.http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v482/khei/ransomnote.jpgI did want to include one or two of the characters from the show but I'm not that good at humans just yet."

Even in fantasy this is stupid.
Zebra cats with green and blue hair?
Only lil 8 year old nerd-freaks are into stuff like that.
Grow up.

1 D. 'Kei' Douglass replies: "If it bothers you that much you really shouldn't waste your time Commenting but thanks. The same type of comments were given to George Lucas and he's pretty weel off I'd say."

Cool. I like their expressions and this is amazingly well done for being done completely on the computer! Great work
