| 9 Sep 2005 | Kryanna | Asian wedding dresses were never white, although it does look good in this picture. White is considered the color of death in most asian culture, thus if white material was used at a wedding ceremony it was considered a sign that the marriage would fail or end soon in death. dresses were traditionally green, yellow or red. *the picture looks amazing though.* Karolina 'The DragonSnail' Sefyrin replies: "Yes, well all the sites I have been to obviously lied about it, since you are so well taught as to know this. How about you Google for the name "Shiro-mako" and see what you get up? And then share it with the rest of us...? ~_^" | |

| 8 Jan 2006 | Randomization | So.. Is she good, or evil? She looks so radiant in that dress, she reminds me of a dark elf pic i once saw with her dressed in a short kimono with wings. Not nearly as good as this one though! | |
| 31 Jan 2006 | Rinty | Both you and Kryanna need not to get too snarky over the white. K.'s right about China, India, and other Asian cultures using white for mourning and death. And you're right about "Shiru-maku"...which is Japanese. Just another difference in cultures. I absolutely love the designs on the clothes and the sakura. I really hope the commissioner was happy to get it. I was wondering why they weren't really looking at each other. Karolina 'The DragonSnail' Sefyrin replies: "Probably cause I suck at art. Or maybe I just sucked at doing this picture. I also would like it if they looked at each otehr, since that was my thought, but I didnt manage to succeed with my intention. It looked good while I was painting it though, but its afterwards you start seeing the errors. *shrug*" | |

| 5 Oct 2006 | Thanna "Woodswatcher" | Perhaps they are each looking at their own family, or at the other's families. She has a kind of 'oh great' look on her face. I adore the picture. | |
