FanArt: Vampire Hunter D: Grove

Yeah. You didn't exactly capture much of Grove's pain here, but it's cool to see someone busting out the appreciation for the only star in VHD, who is unfortunately backstabbed by the title character.

Yes, I like Grove! He was the *only* one of the Marcus Brothers I liked. Such a sweet-heart..

OMG, that goes for me too...he is *so* sweet...I felt so bad for him. Somehow I knew he would die in the end, but I thought he'd be one of the last...and he was! wooop! anyway, I think you did him pretty well..but color would help, even if its just green tints. ^^

Omg, you sad sad people. How can a cripple be sweet? The pic sucks and whoever said that Grove got back stabbed by the main character, should go back and watch the movie. Deadbeats.

What a lovely picture, Elizabeth... More people should draw Grove. (instantly plans to do so) He was definitely sweet and certainly the most perceptive of the lot of those crude hunters. And yet absolutely deadly. A great character. Here the folds of his clothes are very nice, but I`m not sure if his hand could twist that far back behind him since hips go towards the left side of the picture. Remember that elbows always go to the same lever as a person`s waist. But either way, I`m looking forward to see you colour this. I`d like to put this on my (yet unfinished) Vampire Hunter D Tour if you could take the effort of finishing this. If you wish to have it there, of course. Nice work.

Grove was the sweetest, greatest charecter in the whole movie.

It was really sad, though, that he was so sick all the time... He reminded me of a book charecter, Raistlin Majere, but Grove was definitly a lot nicer... He only really has about six lines in the entire movie, and no one explains his past (although I think I read somewhere that he wasn't actually related to the Markus brothers) But I love him, and this is a cool drawing. I don't think anyone has ever drawn a picture of Grove not in his ghost form... That's be interesting, but this is great.

Are there any other anime characters like Grove? I feel like I remember seeing another guy like Grove who was sickly and could astral project.

Yay, finally someone besides me who draws Grove! I was searching (and managed to find some screenshots, but that was about it) and came upon this! Yes yes, finish it soon!!!! (Did I mention it's awesome?)
