FanArt: MI: LeChuck's Revenge Jan 15 2003 Elaine and Guybrush hanging out like they do in the second of the Monkey Island games. In the game however they hang inside a sort of cave...lets pretend they're hanging over a cliff or something like that. ^_^

| | | | | Date | Name | Comment | | | 2 Nov 2003 | The Sickly Mannequin | This game is mad fun...the new 3D one is not as goot as the fun cartoony versions...but hey whatever...you did an excellent job!!! Annika 'Freyah' Nilsen replies: " Well, personally I think the last game was at least as funny as the first ones, if not more: the insultswordfigting insults in australian slang had me in stiches. *lol* Perhaps not as visually entertaining as the previous game bbut 3D rendering was not as advanced as it is now when that game came out. All in all I think MI4 did an excellent job at keeping up the great MI legacy. ^_^ Anyways, glad ya like this one, thanks for commenting. ^_^" | |
| 7 Nov 2003 | Illegal eagle | Mmmh, these clouds really look like those in MI3 and MI4... Guybrush's left arm looks a -bit- too long, but that could be just me. Annika 'Freyah' Nilsen replies: "His arm is too long actually. *shrugs*" | |
| 6 Feb 2004 | FA Marti | Monkey Island fan art ... now there's something I didn't expect to stumble across in the 'wood. The poses capture the characters personalities so very well ... and I like the sepia-tone effect. What medium did you use for this? Annika 'Freyah' Nilsen replies: "There sure is a lack of MI fan art in the woods. *sigh* Oh well, I'm glad you think I got the characters right. ^_^ The mediums I used for this was a mechanical pencil sketch (characters) pasted on top of a watercolor painting (moon clouds) and then I put that ontop of a piece of rough parchment (color)." | |
| 7 Apr 2004 | | YAY! Monkey Island Fan Art ^_^! I love the Monkey Island games to bits. I practically worship them. I think you've really captured this part of the second game well. I love how you've coloured this piece in too. Great job and keep it up! Annika 'Freyah' Nilsen replies: "Yup, the MI series rocks beyond words. Too bad I've somehow misplaced my copies of the first games when I moved a lot of computer stuff. Oh well, I'll always have number four with Guybrush in a swimsuit, woooo! ^_~ Anyways, glad ya like the pic, thanks for commenting." | |
| 16 Jul 2004 | Lisac3 | Wow, I really, really, love this style. It feels so ancient. Annika 'Freyah' Nilsen replies: "Thanks, it was sort of the style I was going for; that old treasuremap parchment look. Glad ya like it, thank you for commenting ^_^" | |
| 5 Aug 2004 | Jesse M Wright | MONKEY ISLAND!!!! dont forget to ask about loom. But compared to MONKEY ISLAND loom blows! I LOVE the picture. *plays monkey island credit music* Annika 'Freyah' Nilsen replies: "Ok, what about LOOM? ^_~ Glad ya like the image, thanks for commenting!" | |
| 5 Dec 2005 | Creaothceann | Whee, Monkey Island! http://grumpygamer.com/4586791 Annika 'Freyah' Nilsen replies: "Wheee inded! ^_^ Don't understand the linky thingy tho... *I'm stuuupiiid*" | |
| 26 Oct 2006 | Creaothceann | It's the blogging website of Ron Gilbert, the creator of Monkey Island 1-3. That particular entry is about a guy playing 12 LucasArts adventure games in 24 hours... Annika 'Freyah' Nilsen replies: "Oh, I missed the video link before. All I have to say is... That was AWESOME! *I'm such a nerd* ^_^" | |
| 8 Jan 2007 | Stephanie S. K. Marbach | Very good - i like the clouds !!! And the coloured paper. What material did you use for it? And what about the drawing materials? It looks like stolen from an old pirat book, great job, really !!! *currently playing monkey island again afer years* !!! Annika 'Freyah' Nilsen replies: "I love MI clouds, they totally got me hooked on spirals which I still use a lot in my works to this day. ^_^
The paper is just some rough paper I scanned in and use a lot as background on images that would otherwise have a white background. Because I dislike large white areas, even though an image sometimes would look better with them, just funny that way I guess."
| 23 Mar 2007 | Teatime's girl <Loading... ^V^ I didn't think anyone else knew about the Escape From Monkey Island games! I think we had number 4 . . . We did most of it (we were on the island with the dog machine thing and the bar woman who spits on the drinks) and then we had to reboot and we lost all our data (EVERYTHING) and then I think we got there again, nd then we had to start again, and then I think we were either on the pink boat, or the thing with the lawyers and all. Yeh, we suck at that game Lol I didn't know anything about it (I think I was . . . 5, maybe 6 years old) and it was just lots of funny stuff happening at once. ^^ Well, now that I'm done ramblking on (sorry about that) I'd like to say that I like your picture, particularly the style. I'm not used to the sepia tones and all the strange backgrounds, but from what I can see in this picture its a good style! | |
