| 10 Mar 2006 | Eric <info@dem...com > | Dear Elfwood Artist, I am Eric Prescotter, Web admin at Demonlime. At Demonlime we have movie, book, and music reviews, and would like to do art reviews as well. I am asking certain Elfwood members to give me their Elfwood Exranet username, password, and the permission to use your pictures on Demonlime. We have chosen Elfwood to get art from because it is the biggest fantasy art Web site in the world. Demonlime has looked through many Elfwood galleries, and have picked the artists who we think, has the art that would fit our site and reviewers. It would be a good thing for you to give Demonlime your Elfwood Extranet username, password, and permission to use your pictures because, it would be credited to Elfwood and you, the artist. That would have more people coming to Elfwood, and wanting to see more of your art! If you decide that you want to give your Elfwood Extranet username, password, and permission to use your art on Demonlime send me an e-mail with all information. | |
| 21 Mar 2006 | Yolaron | Scamalert! Don't give your password to the guy above. Trust me, it's a scam. Never give anyone your extranet password. They wouldn't need it if all they wanted was a few pictures. | |
| 28 Mar 2006 | 'Eric' | I scammed other people too! And I'm not really Eric from Demonlime! | |
| 5 Jul 2006 | Anonymous | These look like the drawing of an 8 year old, and you obviously can't use photoshop | |
| 28 Jul 2006 | Anonymous | This drawing is peculiar. In other words, It sucks!!!! | |
| 10 Feb 2007 | Andora | Watch out for eric! He is a scammer! Never ever give anyone your password! | |
| 8 Aug 2007 | L. Mitchell | Sarah, you are a pretty girl...the same cannot be said of your pictures. Your biggest error is proportion. Google some pictures of people, preferably models as they tend to be in interesting poses and clothing which may inspire you, and note certain things. Learn the average distance between the hairline and eyes, where the elbows are, the knees, the length as compared to the legs versus the torso, upper arm versus lower arm (they're the same), thigh versus calf (also the same), etc.. Study men's proportions as well.
On top of that, start drawing the skull and add the hair around, instead of drawing the face and adding the hair on top. This avoids the dreaded "flat head" look you have achieved. | |
| 24 Oct 2007 | Elizabeth Z. Johnk | Hey Sarah, Well, after glancing over L. Mitchell's artwork, it's safe to say that he's a few classes short of getting out of the "dreaded" category, himself. In any case, you obviously are developing a strong style and a working use of colour. Keep with it, your characters are great. ^_^ ~Liz | |
