I said I would draw a Snape! This is the most presentable of my attempts. I guess he's grading potion works from his students, and not happy about the result. Maybe this was Neville's potion, and it should have been a dark red and rejuvenate toads, instead of being yellowish green and making hair grow?
Ah, Snape. Not a character I love, but oh how he fascinates me!
An illustration for J.K. Rowling's book series, Harry Potter.
it's a Snape-esque Snape with no Alan Rickman-ness (Who I love, and think he's perfect for the part but sometimes it's nice to see other people's perceptions too!) Hélène Bruneton replies: "Thanks a lot! Yeah, Rickman is a great actor, and did splendidly what he was asked to do in this role. I guess I'm just more attracted to the books than the films..."
I would go so far as to say that this is the most accurate Snape to my vision of him in the books. Rickman is a great actor and has the voice, action, etc. down just right, but he doesn't look like Snape should, at -all-. This is much closer. And it's a very well-done face. Some of your pictures have anatomical problems but the faces tend to be very good, and this face is no exception. Really nicely done. Hélène Bruneton replies: "Thanks so much! Yeah, Rickman is a lot like the other adult actors in the film. He did a great acting job in the role, but his age and looks aren't close to the books descriptions...
And I'm glad you like my faces -though some of them have flaws, too. I'm trying to get better, for the anatomy as well as the faces portraits "
This is a great pic. BTW Snape is my favorite!!!!! He's an interesting complex character! Perhaps even the most complicated of Harry Potter. Guess that we all can expect many surprising things!! The green glowing in his face looks great! BTW I like the swirls of smoke.well!!!! Hélène Bruneton replies: "Thank you so much! I'm very glad that a Snape fan enjoye this one That's what makes him so interesting for me too, this complexity. "
This is a GREAT Snape, I mean, compared to the one I have in my head. They're alike. My favourite Snape so far. There are so many artists out there who have a tendency to draw Snape looking all handsome. But here, here he looks like I imagined. Very, very nice. Great expression too. Sort of dissapointed... but to me he looks more like he's pondering a problem... Anyways, great pic. As always. =D Hélène Bruneton replies: "Thank you so much! I'm really glad you liked this canon Snape
I so prefer him like this, not nice and not handsome and so ambiguous. What's the interest in drawing a pretty Snape that doesn't look the slightest like he's described?"
WOW, I LOOOOVE the coloring! What an accurate pic of him Disappointed with his student's work..no surprise there, he should try to help more than criticize. The background..everything..is perfect. I love you. Hélène Bruneton replies: "Thank you so much! I'm so glad you liked this one. And I completely agree about your opinion on Snape's teaching methods "
Gorgeous picture! Is it or has it been involved with the HP art remix? It reminds me of http://www.deviantart.com/view/16156824/ Hélène Bruneton replies: "Thanks a lot, I'm glad you liked! It wasn't a remix of Linn's pic, though I did it just after she made a Snape pic (I think it's not this one but another one depicting a larger scene, but I'm not sure). Anyway, I didn't wanted to copy her pic, but I ended being strongly influenced by her Snape. Also, afterwards, I noticed that there are quite a lot of Snapes holding green vials around here. Must be a sort of subliminal universal image of him all fanartists have!"

wooohh, this one is really fantastic. He's really the one i have in my mind, except I personally think the eyes are a bit darker. He's not beautiful, but he is also not disgusting or really ugly, just mysterious and fascinating...
I think that Snape is not working for Voldemort. He works for himself, Maybe even trying to overthrow him and be the next Dark Lord. He is powerful enough afterall.
