FanArt: Of Mice and Merle

Isn’t she cute. Once again I turned up to college to do nothing so... I did this pic. I just want to pic her up and squeeze the breath out of her. I decided to do a background and the mice just fitted in with the mood of the pic and her expression. This was done using gouache paints...complements of college. hehe. Took me two hours to complete, longer than it should have for the simple reason that the entire class was watching me intensely. It's not very easy to concentrate in that kind of situation.I always have loved Merle. More so now that I’ve seen the Japanese sub version of the series. She totally lost that babyish, lovesick, immature feel to her. Helping to show her sensitivity towards Van. No wonder people seem to get the idea that she is in love with Van, the dub was so totally off. Ok I’ve finished my ranting. Hehe So I had to do at least one image to her. This is the second image I’ve ever done. Turned out quite well thank god :) Title taken and adapted from the book: Of Mice and Men. Couldn't help but play on the words hehe.x

This is very cute and very brave, the thought of painting pink and yellow in one picture would scare me to death LOL!
