| 1 Apr 2004 | Happi Froggi | Black hair is my stand, but I still love blond hair Leggy. I love this so much more than Orlando Bloom! OMG, yes, this is much more... fitting. Yes, that is the word. | |
| 7 Apr 2004 | Theresa | OMG!! His hair is BLONDE!!! What is with you ppl???? Black is hott- But Legolas has blonde hair- thats just the way it goes!!! But yes- I like this pic- even though I started reading the books after I saw the movies so I never got my own picture of Legolas... I always imagined Orli (which is ok with me ) I think you did a very good job with creating your own version of Legolas though | |
| 4 Jun 2004 | Anonymous | Well actually Tolkien never said precisely what colour his hair was and seeing as Legolas heritage is VERY vague theres no telling what colour it might have been. He was a wood-elf and Tolkien did say at a later date that wood-elves were supposed to be dark-haired in majority but that would have been a mousy shade of brown if he did have dark hair. Definately not black. Black is the hair-colour of the Noldor. If he had golden hair at all then he would have had to have got it from some kind of Vanyar heritage as they were the only golden haired race in middle earth. Personally I lean towards him having white or silver hair despite the fact he's never been portrayed as that, because his father Thranduil is said in some accounts to be very distantly related to the Teleri in particular the line of Thingol who had definate silver hair. So there you have it. He's either mousy or pale-haired. Not golden though. | |
| 23 Sep 2004 | Chibichica!! | o, fricken A why didn't they let ORLY have his plain brunetteness in the mooovie.... I am distraught he is definitely hotter with brown/black hair elfs can be brown haired!! | |
| 18 Oct 2004 | Susanne 'Mesai' Ihrén | oh my, what a discussion about the COLOUR of his hair! it might never be stated, it might look DARK in the night (so does my friends hair and she is a blonde) and Legolas may be brown or blonde (since unstated, lets leave that to each own)! check out http://www.glyphweb.com/arda/default.htm for great information on Tolkiens world, and now someone comment the artistic values in this one! For it has a value, and it is a good picture! The bow is excellent, and Legolas is a nice Legolas. Miss Smitherman your work is well done, good golly miss molly! Have a nice day all/Susie | |
| 26 Sep 2005 | Sarah Black | HEY WEBSTER YOUR AN IDIOT!!!! Tokien never mentions what colour of hair legolas has. He only mentions what the characters are wearing, not what they look like. Many people think that legolas has golden hair because tokien said "Legolas shook his fair head in dismay" or something like that. So there! And Nikki Jeske, That is how legolas sees Aragorn! He sees Aragorn witgh a crown of fire!!!! Yet i agree with anominous. His father was related to the teleri. But because of where he came from(Mirkwood) he can not possibly have BLACK OR BLONDE HAIR!!!!!!!!!!!!! | |
| 22 Nov 2006 | Bookworm | I agree with you full heartedly, Margaret Smitherman. this looks SOOOO much more like how L.Greenleaf SHOULD look. (I prefer the books to the movies, myself.)
oh, and, To LIyn: YOU THOUGHT THAT PIPPIN HAD A PONYTAIL?!?! *glares furiously* Pip would NEVER ware a pony tail! wouldn't that look weird on a hobbit?
(I love Pippin) | |

Eeeheee, it's just how I imagine him. 'Cept I kind of saw him with brown hair, but attitude-wise, this is my Legolas. Dude, I love your style. <D | |
