The jedi code, interpreted to the letter, is so stupidly strict that trying to follow it is like trying to live your entire life on the high wire, and to be a proper jedi is to lead such a hidebound, inhuman existence that killing them is simply putting them out of their misery, so- All Hail Darth Vader, the only sensible jedi.
