FanArt: Snowscape and Skitter

Snowscape (the elf) and Skitter (the horse) are from my Elfquest holt Windcliffs. Snowscape is chieftess of this horseriding tribe. I did this in ... um ... '97 or '98, I think... my first two years of college, anyway. It was an experiment with pen and ink and pastel pencils.

You have a real nice piece here. Its evocative and yet not over complicated, just nice simple empathy and comraderie between the subjects. Its great that you can show a feeling so strongly without going overboard with lines and detail......I would love to learn how to minimalize a little my pieces are messy. So I'll just have to visit here a lot, and pick up pointers 2
