Truly an amazing talent, thats prolli what 17 years of drawing will do. The details and proportions of the musceles and the shading, all of your stuff, its great love everything. gives me alot to work at.

well man i gatta say your stuff is easily the best on the site. Im kinda muckin around with the western style and just wanted to know how long it took u to hit your stride, ya know till ya were actually gettin steady work.

12 Jonny C. Ledford replies: " Well it actually took me a long time to find me in all of this. You know it's starts off with a love of comics in the early 70's. So I had Wrightson and Byrne as influences. Then it broadens with others, as well as game art Brom etc. Pretty soon after watching and looking and drawing you suddenly find you look just like you. So I have to say I probably did'nt get what I wanted outta me until I was about 28 years old. It actually did take the old Chuck Jones theory. "You are gonna draw 10,000 pictures that are crap until you get to the good stuff, so the faster you get that outta the way the better," So I found that to be true. Yes I have worked fairly steady, I have'nt worked in the last few years for health reasons, but that has all changed the past 4 months, I am back in the saddle (Or drawing board) once again so to speak. I am glad you like the stuff, and just keep drawing man. That is my advice. ~Jonny~"

Nice stuff man. Me and Trueblood are from J-Town( Jamesville) N.C. It's good to see a fellow North Carolinian on Elfwood. I hope to oneday become a comic book artists. How did you first get started working in comics?
