FanArt: Dancing in the Holy Flame

Malta, from the early 80's anime 'Sea Prince and the Fire Child', dancing in the holy flame. I looked for years for this movie that I remembered from my early childhood. It's almost impossible to find, but I did. I did a few other pieces from this movie, but they won't be up until I've gotten them colored. It was difficult as anything, given my usual style, to keep them simple. Once I have a colored version, that will replace this one. Sea Prince and the Fire Child is © Sanrio

The Sea King was my favorite.. so dark and commanding. I would love to see this image colored your work is lovely!
10 Feb 2007	Joyhorse 13	Loading... I always thought "Sea Prince and Fire Child" was kind of like Disney's "The Little Mermaid". I mean, the parallels are astounding: undersea kingdom, rebellious teenage redhead who lives down there, dad is king of the sea, forbidden love for surface dweller...need I go on? Just pointing out some big similarities I noticed. Anyways, I love this pic and am glad I'm not the only one who's seen this awesome movie!
