Good morning neighbor (we are in the same galery ;-)), you have some really great pictures up here, specially the batman-pic and the one from Farscape are very, very good.

I found out yesterday that Gigi Edgley who plays Chiana is the same age as I am! I'm actually jealous that she gets to run around playing Chiana all day long and I just have to settle for drawing her! "

:-) Kimberly Ann (Elle) Pothoff replies: "Well, I wouldn't expect you to do artwork just like mine and I'm not sure I could teach it because we all have to have individual style but I could give you tips on how to draw better. Two things, because I don't want to take up alot of space, study and practice! I don't have much formal schooling in the art area but I do try and study as much as I can about techniques and tricks of the trade. My artwork pretty much comes from a gathering of techniques I picked up from books,classes or other artists. I also try and study any subject I can. I have a pretty decent knowledge of what a woman's body looks like, after all, what am I? I'm still working on my male form but if I know I'm going to be setting up some composition and I can't quite picture it in my head, I go to the greatest reference tool on earth....the internet! I can always find great pictures of people, animals, backgrounds or pretty much anything I want and then, I study it, and then draw from what I've referenced. I don't rip off other artists though. Mainly I'll just use a body position if I have to to get my perspective and proportions right. Well, that's all for now. Thanks for looking and commenting."

The images look much better now. I hate putting pencil drawings up because they do the whole fuzzy thing. Err... Irritating. But they are much clearer. *Glomps Lestat*

:-) Kimberly Ann (Elle) Pothoff replies: "Sometimes smaller is better. This paint program is just that, a standard generic Windows paintbrush program and it really butchers the artwork if you try and enlarge it. That'll teach me. Glad you like them!"

Some neat pics you've got out there, Kim (I can call you Kim, right?12. Great. Well, now that we're on friendly conditions *dodges several laser beams shot by the artist* may I ask a favor of you? You know, I really adore your Sandman-based pictures (the poster in particular) and... er... PLEASE can you draw Dream? He's my fav character and I kinda really trust you. You know, I feel sure that you wouldn't mess a picture up. So PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE can you draw Morpheus for me? *_* I'm counting on you...
