FanArt: Harry Potter Vs Tim Hunter

wow, i love both these series, although i have to say i was more spell bound by the Tim Hunter ones, but id never thought of comparing the two characters. I defineately agree, Tim would win hands down! I like the style you drew these in and their faces.

Kimberley Eaton replies: "Thank you. I have to admit I never thought of comparing them until I read an interview that talked about a possible Books of Magic film where they said that they'd have to change so many things otherwise people would just say it was a Harry Potter imitation."

I completely forget to comment on the picture! I love their facial expressions, and the magicky stuff around Tim Hunter's hand has a nice look.

I've never read the Tim Hunter books before, but if Harry had time to prepare, I bet Hermione would come of great use

Kimberley Eaton replies: "I'm sure Hermione would be usefull but Tim Hunter has some pretty usefull friends too, I'm sure Constantine, Molly and Zantara would come in handy. I strongly recomend reading some of the books, I haven't read them all myself but the ones I have read have been very good. "

I've been discussing this similarity between Harry and Tim with my Harry-loving friends, which is hard because most of them argue with me.

Even though it is totally apparent that his resources are wider-spanning. I think even Hermione would have to forfeit this one.

I mean, Harry needs that wimpy little stick! Tim just wills it, doesn't even need a freakin' spell to clog it all up! ^____^ Tim rocks, great picture!

Ah, wonderful, Harry Potter finally gets taken down by Tim Hunter... about time... It is stated in the back of the last volume of The Books of Magic in the back in the editorials that Neil Gaiman created harry potter before he was called Harry Potter... I find it insulting that Rowling figured she could get away with such a blatant imitation... and a cheap imitation at that. Tim Hunter will forever be superior to Harry Potter... I mean... Since when has Harry Potter hung out with cool people... such as the likes of the hellblazer himself... John Constantine? Never... he hasn't the scrote.

While I'm sure Tim Hunter is a good book, Harry Potter is by far better known. Besides, Harry Potter will always be my favourite book EVER.

The problem’s exactly that Constantine’s his friend... Constantine’s "friends" tend to die at an alarming rate, in rather gory fashion.
