FanArt: Samwise GamgeeSamwise!!! My favorite character from Lord of the Rings, anime-style. I think Sean Astin did a wonderful job acting Sam, although I'm not sure if this picture looks much like him...but that's okay, it's still Sam! Done with black ink, markers, and colored pencils. |

| 7 Jan 2005 | Mrs. Greenleaf/ Mrs. Bloom | Awwwwww! SO CUTE!!!!!! Even tho Legolas is my favorite character, I LUV Sam!!!!!! He's SO adorable!!!!!! I luv how he's SO incredibly loyal to Frodo. In a book that I got it says, "It was while they were journeying through the Pass of Cirith Ungol that Sam became the greatest hobbit who ever lived: after Shelob's attack on Frodo, Sam - thinking his friend dead from her poison - took up Sting and the burden of the Ring, intending to complete the quest on his own. When Shelob returned he attacked her with the small Elven blade, mortally wounding the monstrous spider, and made his way to the Tower of Cirith Ungol. There, after learning that Frodo still lived, he climbed the tower and single-handedly killed Gorbag the Orc and several Uruk-hai. After freeing Frodo, Sam had the purity and strength of character to be able to voluntarily hand the Ring back to Frodo - something that no other being in Middle-earth would have been able to do."
