I am a university student who is majoring in Egyptology and Genetics/Computer Science. I draw on everything that isn't nailed down (and some things which are), and I suppose that this will come back to haunt me when they start passing out fines for dorm damage.... When an idea captures my imagination, I have to visualize it in pen and pencil, whether the concept is my own or derived from literature, music, or video games. Some novels which have especially caught my fancy are: Dickens' Tale of Two Cities, Murasaki Shikibu's Genji Monogatari, Mervyn Peake's Gormenghast trilogy and, most recently, Joan D Vinge's Snow Queen series.
