FanArt: Alice: Meet Alice!

The first descripition I wrote got lost in the crash, so I try this one more time...

Some months ago I bought American McGee's Alice. I played it. I remembered once more how much I liked the books by Lewis Carroll. And I liked this weird, crazy, mad, new Alice quite a lot!
So I decided to make this picture. Imagine both girls meet somewhere in the land behind the mirror.
Young Alice: 'Hello! Please, tell me: What do you hid behind your back?'
Older Alice: 'Oh, don't ask. Please, don't ask...'

As you can see, there is Alice from Lewis Carroll's Books on one side and American McGee's Alice on the other side.

Congrats!

My favorite game! I got it in a game two-pack that came with Clive Barkers Undying, another fine game...

I love the "evolution" of the hearts in the background especially. I love how they start out as hearts on the innocent side and then change.

:-) Inga 'Stacy' Kozuruba replies: "Well, it was my intention to show the change from the innocent child of Lewis Carroll to the broken girl of American McGee. It happens to the cards, but also to the chessboard floor. The white squares on older Alice's side are missing - and there's a strange red glow underneath..."

*gapes* I have a character in a Mage game that, bluntly said, who looks like your drawing of American McGee's Alice.

:-) Inga 'Stacy' Kozuruba replies: "*g* I hope, she only looks like her and doesn't have the same delusions. Would she then be a marauder?"

I honestly think that this is the best Alice I've seen yet. I think that even the original book was creepy, and you always knew there was something..not right about it. Of course, Carrol was on drugs..

:-) Inga 'Stacy' Kozuruba replies: "I don't know about Carroll and drugs; maybe he just had (and remembered) many strange and disturbing dreams just like me. And of course the books were wrong somehow; that's why I like them so much!
Besides that I'm glad you like this one. "

Very ominous! If only seven-year old Alice knew what was going to happen to her only a month after "Looking-Glass." It's as if her seventeen-year old self has come to her in a dream, saying, "Get ready for ten years in the Ruteledge Asylum."
