ouch... talk about criticism, and not constructive at that! I think its a creditable first attempt, and I can sympathise with the lines - most of my best scribbles tend to be lined paper, try fiddling with the scanner setup so that they come out a little less defined

Anyway, practice makes perfect, so brush aside unhelpful comments and don't give up

hey this is real good for a first attempt! dont listen to wat those others are saying - it's not perfect, but it's good, especially for a fanart. I tend to copy everything I do coz I'm chicken, so I give you credit for showing some courage and posting it on elfwood. I like the shading and while the proportions are a tad off, I couldn't do any better! That's great, try again and I bet you'll get it almost perfect - that's the way it works. Ignore negative comments if they're not constructive, I think you've got more emerging talent than a lot of people on elfwood. some people have been drawing fanart for a long time and still arent as good as you!
