FanArt: Tears of a Samurai

*sniffle* i luv this one so much...i haven't seen the whole series so this has nothing to do with it. actually i was just drawing a face, a profile and it turned to a guy, then i drew his hair, i wanted it to be long...wavy. i started his body, thot he'd look better shirtless...then the waaaaaaaaay low/baggy pants. pretti soon that scar popped up and i realized: i drew kenshin! yet again...can't get him off my mind i suppose. in this pic he juss looks so sad...he's holding kaoru's hair ribbon, or it could also be a piece of tomoe's blue scarf...i dunno, it's a piece of one of his love's clothing. his rite hand was so hard to draw...omg. but i am so happy at the results of many hours of looking at my hand for reference. his hand came out quite nice. i dunno y i made him all bloody, it just adds to the mood i guess, like he's won a battle, but lost something more precious...

Such emotion. Although I like comedy animes its the romances that always make me feel something. I am glad I got to see your art. Hope you'll do more. ^_^

11 Malisa 'Jasmine' Savanh replies: "domo arigatou ^_^ i'm glad to read ur comments, they have been so wonderful. i agree with you too, i like comedies, but the romances and tragedies really get to me. there's this feeling that u get, it's more than just sadness and pity, it's an understanding beyond grief so that u connect with the characters, i like it, that's why i like anime. neways, thank u for being such a wonderful commentator! this ones really good. you're so awesome at hands, they're the hardest part of drawing. so you get an A+ for that 18. but..umm...don't take this the wrong way.but when i first saw it, i thout. "boy or girl?" i guess because the reason is because you made him freakishly skinny. i could see the muscles, but they're not flat ! just make him a little wider next time. please don't get mad. just a few hints never hurt, right? ^__^

1 Malisa 'Jasmine' Savanh replies: "you're absolutely right. don't worry, i'm not easily offended, in fact it's quite difficult to get me angry, so don't worry. i was kinda unsure about whether he was a guy or a girl myself when i finished it, but his abdomen was so thin and lithe, i couldn't change it. i will next time tho. hands ARE hard, i'm glad i could depict them well enough to earn an "A" hehe. they've always been my weak point...stupid hands...thank you for your criticism/compliment, both mean a great deal to me and i'm glad you said that, it helps me become a better artist ^_^"

No offense Malisa, but I fail to see the point in this picture. It's very well drawn, but I still fail to see the point. It could be 1:This lacks a point.Or 211 lack the intelligence neede to see the point.I personally think it's 2,regarding how stupid I am.Anyway, that's all I wanted to say.Ja Ne!

17 Malisa 'Jasmine' Savanh replies: "this picture actually had no point...this never happened in the series or in any of the movies...it's just a random picture. sorry if it confuses you...but there is no purpose to it other than i was bored one day. so thanks for voicing your opinion!"

Much as I hate to say it, I think that it's Kaoru's ribbon he's holding and it's Kaoru who inspired Kenshin's mood. The reason behind my thought: Kenshin's cross-shaped scar has completely healed over. If it was Tomae (I think that was the name of his first wife) wouldn't it still be bleeding? Second reason: the wounds on his body. If this picture took place while he was still in mourning, he would have been too depressed to fight. As for art criticism, I agree with "trina says..." he does seem too skinny. But, he was never exactly a muscular character either, so he wouldn't be too much bigger. Anyway, keep up the good work! (Wow! That was a really long comment!)

44 Malisa 'Jasmine' Savanh replies: "long comments are more fun to read, gives me more to talk about in the return comment, hehe. yea, he's a bit on the anorexic side. but i agree about the whole time period and scar thing. besides, that thing is too short to be tomoe's blanket thingy. but i wonder what happened to kaoru to make him so sad? was this when she was captured by enishi? hmm...well thanks for commenting again ^_^ ur comment is much appreciated"

well for one i'll say that it's very interesting...but I could never draw anything like it well I suck at drawing but that's not the point...it's good and I suck so... yeah.

6 Malisa 'Jasmine' Savanh replies: "well thank you for commenting, but don't put yourself down! i'm sure u have a wonderfully creative mind, and that if u let it, it will just flow into your artwork. 2"
