FanArt: Canon Gargoyles: Pinocchilex

This is my first attempt to draw canon Gargoyles characters. I was shocked at the result. I did all of the lineart freehand, using several images of the characters for reference. ( A sidenote: I drew the little chibi Brooklyn from memory, without references.) The lineart is done in Fine Point Black Sharpie, and the image was colored in Photoshop.

Lexington is my favorite of the Manhattan Clan Gargoyles, after Goliath, and for some reason, I had a strong, random desire to draw him as Pinocchio. With that in mind, I drew this mock-up of a poster for Pinocchilex, starring Lexington as Pinocchio, Hudson as Gepeto, a very unamused Goliath as The Blue Fairy, David Zanatos as Stromboli, MacBeth as Honest John, Demona as Gideon, Brooklyn as Jiminy Cricket, and Cagney as Figaro.

I don’t think he’s very glad with his role in the movie! =) Brooklyn as Jiminy Cricket is just great! Oh, it’s so unfair I don’t see a golden star in the corner of the pic… Perhaps you should’ve added some shading? But this cartoonish style doesn’t require detailed shadows!
