FanArt: Lani's work at WOA*snerk* WOA actually stands for 'Workroom of Organized Adjustments'.
WOA is a division of WHEE ( Workers Headquarters for Efficient Explorations ), a secret society of full time inventors. Since in neopia nobody really needs to work, and if they do they can just use the games that pay extra, the neopets have all day to do whatever they please and carry out their interests. But whatif you decide to get together a group of talented and creative neopets who happen to be inventors? Or at least, some of them are inventors, some of them are handimen, some of them are idea makers, some of them are providers, some of them... you get the idea, right?
Anyway. There are several departments in WHEE: SPOOK, ACK, WOA, ARGH, and others. As you can see, WOA is one of them.
The WOA department is where the handimen, grease monkeys, twinkers, and other adjusters are.
Think this: An underground warehouse, where it seems that not an ounce of space is wasted. In some places there are walls of panels from floor to ceiling for the tweaking of programs, and in others, there are networks of pipes next to runners so that both pets that can and can't fly can work on inventions that go on the layers upon layers of runners. There's even a corner with a runner that has things hanging from it, where the flying neopets can work on things that are suspended in air. Of course, there is also alot of machinery near the bottom, so there are also people there. People who visit the bottom usually are dripped upon by oil and grease, used liberally by people above.
Nalanirena the zafara, or Lani, as called by friends, works in WOA most of her time. You are a mynci, and Imcanwiel, Lani's sister, has sent you up to look for her. When you reach her, finnaly, you see this...
