I'm a 16 year-old college student who tries to be interested in as many things as possible. I play the piano and the guitar, write, ski, play tennis, play video games, read, listen to music, watch movies, and of course draw!
I'm absolutely obsessed with anything related to The Lord of the Rings, and I'm in love with Aragorn. I also love Harry Potter, X-Men, Final Fantasy and generally fantasy-ish things. I don't have any plans on turning it into a career, but I do hope I'll always have drawing somewhere in my life.
As a career, I'd love to act, but I would also like to teach English or have anything to do with sciences. Concerning my art, everything I read and see in books and movies inspire me. I do anime and sometimes (when I'm feeling brave), I try to go for some realism. I seem to have developped a style of my own. I'm terrible at shading and I have a hard time putting action in my poses, but I'm trying to work on that.
Do comment, I really want to improve as much as possible! I mostly draw in pencil, and I'm very scared to colour something that I've already finished... So hopefully, I'll be able to conquer my fear, and there'll be some nice coloured drawings here soon! :)
By the way, I suggest you check out my deviantART gallery. I have quite a few portraits there that show some actual progression in my realism! :)
I like the way you do hair. It almost flows like real hair. your faces are also good...i like the sephiroth picture. values (shading) are always hard to do in a picture but once you get it its cake. So i say keep up the good work, practice shading, and your limbs. you are well on your way to becoming an artist. I know what you mean..I’m the weird lil’ 14 year old kid that draws elves during Algebra and English and History and...well just about anything except Shop class and Art. ha ha. Your drawings are very good. The hair is possibly the best, just keep practicing!!
