FanArt: Temptation and tribulations

This was done in '95. One of the harsher years in my life. I had gone through the hardest breakup in my life with someone who I thought was 'the One'. in the process I lost my apartement. Thank god for two of her friends who became my friends and let me move in with them. Thanks Tim and Michelle!! even though we all live apart now, you will always be family to me. A friend suggested I draw myself as 'lusiphur'..she was realy into psychology and mental healing techniques. I was known at the time for wearing trenchcoats and sleevless black shirts..( I think I still am actualy). I wore the shirt pictured here alot. I was just starting to come to grips about my ex, when she decided to try and come back into my life, that's when I drew this. It reflects alot of what was going on with me at the time. The face expression is supposed to be a 'now what?' or 'I don't believe this..' look.

26 Jul 2002	V	Loading... This really is an expressive. While my sympathy is offered I cant help but admire the amount of detail and expressionism in this paritcular piece. I suppose I shouldnt be suprised, we are inspired just as much by pain as we are by joy, -if not more so, ne? One question... how long did it take you to complete it?

BUT, yes, I can see that despite the girl in front of him the guy here (well, you) is obviously not happy. Therefore I think it pulls out a lot more emotion than pictures that wouldn't be as controversial (well, I don't have a problem with it but there are some that just don't read descriptions Thank you for sharing this picture.

This is in the fan art section because It was rejected as not being "Fantasy" for my loth gallery...I don't get it, swords,knives,axes, Dead knight, in a fantasy tavern brawl setting.....I dunno. But the pic itself was based on Drew Hayes artwork, so it still can go in the fanart gallery
