FanArt: The Flower Girl

Here she is again. Aeris in all of her beauty and innocence. Once again, if you are going to draw in a realistic style, paper quality determines result quality. This is sketch paper, and this drawing could have been twice as good if I would have used quality stuff. (Drawing pencils and Sketch paper)

You really captured the essence that is Aeris, her sweet smile and her innocence.

:-) Kevin M. Nynas replies: "  I'm glad that I was able to capture her essence. I have contemplated whether or not to redo this one in color... Thanks for the coment!"

This is sooo beautiful. It really captures the innocent and beautiful side of Aeris. Her hair is lovely (I think it is the best part).

:-) Kevin M. Nynas replies: "  Whew! Someone liked the hair! It was a gamble for me to make it as wild as i did, I guess I won that gamble. Thanks for the comment!"

The quality of the materials NEVER makes the drawing what it is...That is what my fav art teach taught me and he was absolutly right. You have a very skilled hand and thats what determins the pic. This is a beautiful drawing and never say that it could be better on better paper. Try to draw it again on real quality stuff and you wont like the result I can almost guarentee it.

Im agreeing with Corona on this pic. Paper quality improves nothing at all.
Besides this pic doesnt need to be improved coz it is fab anyway.
And her hair looks fine.so dont worry about that either.

Nice. I think I like this softer approach even better than the pen lines. Beautiful light quality in the eyes, and nice job on shading the hair and neck.

As another artist, I never use "drawing pencils" unless someone puts them in my hand. I use mechanical pencils, which many art teachers consider blasphemy. Quality supplies are useful, but they're not what makes a picture good.

(Looks at the picture again.) You're really good at subtle expression.

Get over yourself.Anyway...This is a beautiful work of art.I really enjoy the way you made Aeris's eyes shine and the shading is perfect.I don't really think that the supplies you use makes a better picture, art is all about the emotion or mood you can set in the picture. You really have done a wonderful job in catching Aeris's innocence.
