TI agree with Ancient Dragoon. That's sick, and bad and against God's laws. Please, Mrs. Broughton, please think to glorify God, and not the evil one.
I'll pray for you.

Sorry to have to get on my soapbox here, but why should any depiction of love be against God's laws? What you're crusading against here is artistic license, nothing more. I'm sorry if what's depicted offends you, but art is subjective and everyone is free to like or dislike it. As I've said before I illustrate all sorts of things, including loving couples of all persuasions.
I'm a Christian but at the same time I am open minded and form my own views based on personal experience, not what other people tell me to believe. Actually, I don't really believe in the "evil one", therefore I don't see how I can be glorifying such an entity. I also feel that while the Bible provides good direction for a lot of people and its message is generally sound, it does contradict itself a lot in many places. It can also be interpreted in many different ways, because it was written in an ancient language that we can't accurately decypher even to this day. It is unclear as to what is to be taken literally and what is not; I feel it is up to the individual to learn what they can from it. Remember, God didn't write the bible himself; human beings did (even if it was on God's behalf). That's why I think it's fine to use the Bible as a guide for how to live life in a decent kind of manner; treat others as you would expect to be treated yourself, etc. But IMO it is not the place of humans to shoot each other down in flames, regardless of religious beliefs. That's how the majority of wars start, and frankly, most of what's wrong with the civilised world today is down to clashes in religion.
If God himself were to tell me that what I'm doing is wrong by him, then I'd hear him out. But I'm sorry - I won't be commanded to change my ways by people appointing themselves as God's representatives on earth. It's just like saying "I don't like what you're doing, so you'd better stop it or I'll get my big brother to beat you up."
Doesn't the bible also say that God's love is boundless? We were given freedom of choice for a reason - to work things out for ourselves. Yes, we all make mistakes but that's part of being human - we learn from our mistakes and we progress. You can be a sheep and have your beliefs spoon-fed to you if you want, but that's just not my way. I'm not an evil person; I treat people in a decent manner and want to do my bit to help make the world a better place while I'm on this earth. As far as I'm concerned, that's my way of respecting God.
Everyone's entitled to their opinion. I'd just rather you didn't hide behind religion when expressing yours - you're preaching to the converted. 12
Incidentally, you may be interested to know that I have illustrated (and continue to illustrate) for religious education, philosophy and ethics learning resources for schools. My commissioning client for this is a highly respected name in his field and has been interviewed by media like The Times. He doesn't feel the need to judge me or pray for my soul; he has seen my entire portfolio and respects my ability to illustrate such a wide range of subjects. I in turn have great respect for him, his sense of perspective and balance in life. If only more people could be like that... but it takes all sorts to make a world, you know?"

Oh dear, the soapbox time had to be enacted! I hate when that happens. You’re just drawing things, and people have to try and put words and feelings into your picture. I added a few pounds to Sailor Mercury, and that somehow was construed as me praising obesity and all its related problems, or that I’m just a fatass that wanted to draw fat people to feel better about myself or something...in reality, I was going to do competitive bodybuilding (that is, before I got disabled while in the service...but I still hope to anyway). Oh well, it happens. The only thing about the rant I wanted to comment on was that you say you’re a Christian, but don’t believe in satan. Here I was thinking that was kind of a prerequisite, but I suppose if you want to get techincal, all Christians are required to do is believe in Jesus Christ.

Anyway, your gallery. It was interesting because you have a style, but then you have the 3D stuff, the old-school picture, and some chiibi. It’s nice to see artists not pigeon hole themselves into one style of drawing. I think some of your pictures can use a little work to get them up to the level of the rest of your gallery, but that’s all I got for ya.
