FanArt: Ayanojyo Aburatsubo (colored)

This is an interesting picture. The pose is very 'look at me' type thing. Hmm... one thing I'm wondering though is what kind of coloring pencils you have. These look very hard. I hope you don't mind if I give you some helpful tips? If you do mind, you can delete this. The colors in this, well chosen, are slightly harsh. If this had a background I think that effect would be lessened. But since it's all white, you really notice the harshness of the color. Try coloring a bit softer next time, focusing on blending the color gently so its perhaps darker near the black lines and lighter near the center of the area you're coloring. Not only will it make it less blocky, it'll give it some depth and be easier on the eye. I hope this helps!

Katie *Omi-Chiri* Wapnick replies: "The pencils I use are Prismacolor so they are actually a soft lead pencil. it looks hard because of the scanner. I don't like doing backgrounds. the parts that lre lighter then others I intended for it to happen. But thanks for the comment any way.

Love the pose, and the costume, too. ^^ But.. seeing how this is fanquarter, I suppose it's not an original eh? I would love to be so creative as to think up something like this. ^^ I know what you mean bout scanning with Prismas, they look so nice until the scanner eats all those hues and tones. *eats the scanner demons*
