FanArt: The Goblin King

No, this is not just a drawing of an owl! This one is an idea from Labyrinth (brilliant film; go buy!). The eyes are not an owl’s eyes; they are Jareth’s mismatched eyes, and since when has a barn owl had such eccentric eyebrow-like markings? Jareth, the Goblin King, metamorphosises into a barn owl, for those who do not know. This is a sketch of an idea, and will be redone when I have worked out how to draw reflections and tears. Here I just tried to incorporate a tear into the barn owl’s facial markings (many such owls have tear-like markings), but really, it didn’t work. This section is about 15x12cm.

My friend asked me...when I was younger and we used to love David Bowie soooooo much She e-mailed me a picture of him asking mw what the hell was wrong with his eyes. LOL. Anywasys, Great Picture!
