FanArt: The Fellowship Begins.

This one was a gift, and something of a composate from the movies. There isn't one particular shot with Frodo and Gandalf together like this. I drew from several sources. Still, I quite like the effect. And so it begins...

Wow, I really like Gandalf in this pic. The look in his eyes: He has the same thing in the movie. Cool...

:-) Leila Tyliri Wood. replies: "Grammercy. It's a pity you can't see the best feature of the image (the three-dimensionality which startled me as much as anyone) in the scan, but I'm glad you like it! "

Great pictture! Marvelous! Unfortunately, Frodo does look a bit odd, and shouldn't Gandalf be more gray, less white? Just a though... You need to do a Saruman some time. Saruman's cool.

:-) Leila Tyliri Wood. replies: "Indeed he should, but one who by fits into the typical definition of "artist" can only do what is available to them. I had no grey, so I had to layer colours for Gandalf's robe. That was easy, for if one colour caried through, it would simply look stained. Not so with the hair. And so it is more white than grey.
Hmm, I'm sure I will get around to Saruman sooner or later!"

WOW! thats pretty good...just that elija's chin looks a bit wide...but otherwise its *GREAT* keep up the fantstic work and draw some more! cuz not every one has sucha talent! 10

:-) Leila Tyliri Wood. replies: "Thank you. Hmm, that reminds me, I need to do more images of the Fellowship (and Faramir, and Eowyn, and so on). This would be a good time to start on that again, in celebration of the Oscars. Er, sorry, talking to ourselves we are, yesss..."

Gandalf doesnt look old enough...He looks like a boy wearing a fake beard and wig. And frodo looks way too girly.. Otherwise its good.

:-) Leila Tyliri Wood. replies: "Well, if you can render wrinkles in coloured pencil, be my guest... That was one of my early images, and I'm still working on texturing technique. Hehehehe, Frodo can never be too feminine to look like his movie portayal, though!"

This picture is so good! I love the way their eyes look, Elijah's eyes really do look like that, They are so blue, and I love the look on Gandalf's face, it does look like Ian Mckellen a lot! Good job I am really impressed!!!

:-) Leila Tyliri Wood. replies: "Yes, I know. I have done another image of Elijah/Frodo recently (Oh! I can put that up! Let me go scan it...) and realised that in all my images of him I have only had to use the two purest shades of blue, rather than a multitude of colour as with most eyes. Anyhoo, I'm glad you like it! Thank you for commenting!"
