FanArt: Planet Ponies

Ladies and Gentlemen, I give you the Planet Ponies. Some time ago, my sister and I came up with the idea of Planet Ponies. These are not the originals, but rather new versions. They are styled after My Little Pony, but I've put a lot of my own stylistic influence into their designs. I started the picture way back in January, 2007, then put it on hiatus for about a month and picked it up again during Spring Break. So it's been a total of 4 months, exactly. I'm really proud of it because it's only my second group picture, and they are much more interactive in this picture than my Anthro group. They are, from left, Neptune, Mercury, Sol is flying, Pluto, Venus, Gaia, Mars, Saturn, Jupiter, and Uranus. Each of them have 'cutsie' marks that have something to do with their Greek/Roman gods. They all have circular 'planet' jewels surrounded by 'stars,' Neptune has a trident and a fish, Mercury has wings and the medical symbol, Sol has suns, Pluto has only the planet jewels and represents his Dwarf Planet status, Venus has a heart and a dove, Gaia has leaves and her paint pattern is a map of the Earth, Mars has a helment and swords, Saturn has rings and a pocket watch (time), Jupiter has a crown, Uranus is sideways for a reason and has a wand and magic. 27 Apr 2007	Light's Shadow	Loading... Cool! I like this one a lot! The first thing I thought when I saw it was 'Sailor Moon' meets 'My Little Ponies', but it's way better than that! I like the concept and all the work you put into it, especially researching the symbols of the Greek gods. Emily H. Phifer replies: "Haha--it took me awhile to realize what you meant, cause I hadn't even thought of that! =D"
