FanArt: Kristina of the Woods

Kristina of the Woods is an ancient planeswalker, at home in the forests and woodlands of Dominaria. Nature blooms at her touch, and green springs forth wherever she steps. But Kristina is not only a peaceful forest godess. She has been known to battle such fierce foes as Ravidel the Journeying Angel, and Leshrac, Walker of Night, and she has more tricks up her sleeve than she lets on. Now she joins Urza's Nine Titans in hopes of protecting her home world against the oncoming Phyrexian invasion.

I love it! I really like the fact that she isn't skinny as a stick, makes her look more real.

Keep up the fab work 2

:-) Petter Dahl replies: "Yeah, I always pictured her as well-rounded rather than slender. Thanks 2"

I think you draw amazing faces... but the body´s are not very good... 8 you cant waste a talent like yours!
advise:try just to draw faces instead of drawing the whole body...I´m sure that your pics quality will increase, such as the comments 12

:-) Petter Dahl replies: "I'd certainly be wasting talent if all I drew were faces.. After all, how could I learn to draw better bodies if I never drew any?"

"Hehe, well... she is a Daughter of Nature, and feels that such man-made mumbo-jumbo is simply constricting. 12"

By your logic, she shouldn't be wearing clothes at all. 12

:-) Petter Dahl replies: "That's very true, and I'm sure she does wander around naked a lot of the time. This pic is one of her more clothed moments, however 2"

Like other's before me have commented, it's good to see a character more human in reference to her weight. If she's a planeswalker though, and can alter her image at will, why would she do that to herself one wonders? Unless she were trying to discourage anyone particularly lonesome male 'walkers from taking an interest in her... hmm.. Not being critical, only pondering.

:-) Petter Dahl replies: "Do what to herself? It was a sign of beauty in older times to have those extra rounded shapes. The skinny type that's popular nowadays were considered to be frail and sickly."

Dahl- isn't that the name of one of the artists of the magic cards? It's been a while since I've looked at them but i swear... no matter though. Anyway, hats off to yourself once more for it is true that some extra pounds were considered a plus back when. How foolish of me, thinking like the simple minded perverts of today... lol

Just a nitpicking, but... Kristina is supposed to have freckles on her face, if her appearances in the comics are any indication.

*shrug*
