I think all your drawings are well drawn but, I LOVE your Lord Sesshomaru pics. He's my fav. character from Inu-Yasha, he doesn't get enough screen time. Keep up the great work.

How much more awesome can a website be? You have Seshoumaru, Ancient Egyption stuff, and LOTR! Dear Lord those are my three favorite things in the world!!! You should draw kenshin That would complete the awesomeness.^__^

I have tried to draw my pictures with varying themes and it seems that I have succeeded. By the way if you like Egyptian stuff (as it seems) there is also one other picture in my fantasy art section. What comes to Kenshin I must say that unfortunately I am not familiar with that subject. "

This gallery is full of amazingly drawn pictures and I´m proud that theres a lot of really talented, finnish artists here in Elfwood. 1 I wish I could join here too, but I don´t have a scanner, or what was that...? Any way, great gallery!

yes indeed you do! though too bad you are not smiling - I assume it is one of those type of photo's like a passport photo - smiling is definitely frowned upon! unlike me, you are brave enough to allow your photo with glasses on, not for me, no way! not that I dislike my glasses, but prefer the illusion that I have 20/20 vision... contacts just don't work, make me all red-eyed and weepy - btw any new art-works in the making?? - maXine 1

And smiling... well it is my army photo and in the army photo you must look like tough, official and brave soldier. So no smiling allowed. But back to the art. Yes I have one new Morrowind based fan-art drawing almost completed. Should be soon coming here too (or atleast to the queue). "

I hate to criticize because I admire your talent, but I do have on suggestion. You're excellent at shading, and I think that if you avoided dark outlines it would add a level of realism to your work. Outlines are, of course, a stylistic choice, but they do make everything look cartoony. I hope you'll consider giving it a try. =)

:-) Panu Hakkarainen replies: "Thanks for visiting and commenting. Constructive criticism is always welcomed. You are absolutely right about the outlines. However, they are a strong part of my drawing style nowadays. (and have always been). As you pointed out my style is a cartoonish but it is intentional. I have come to like the strong outlines and the bit "toonish" look of my drawings. This does not outrule that I would never try a more realistic style. But if I do it will happen in my S&F gallery. "

"A little talent"? You are amazing! You should denfinitely keep up the good work! I love your manga, and I actually realy like the manga drawing style, though it isn’t for me. I think you are REALLY good at it and you are as good as the pros! I think my favorite picture of yours is the one with Predator and the girl saying "What exactly did you mean when you said you wanted to possess my heart?" LOL! ROFL! and all that good stuff. I think you have a good sense of humour, as well. Keep up the good work!!! 2 <3
