It really depends on the picture. The Phoebe mermaid on this account probably took me five hours or so, but the "We Finally Meet" I did for a friend took a great deal longer. I know that’s rather nonspecific, but it’s not exactly a science.  Fanart and requests usually take me longer, because I have trouble relating to/drawing characters I didn’t make up myself. | |

The comment-reply function once again is refusing to work, here, and won’t let me respond directly to any of your comments (it just deletes them). But this is what I’ve got so far, just to consolidate:
"Leilani had thick curly black hair. Her eyes changed with her mood from Sapphire, Jade and Hazel. Her tail is bluish-green. Leilani had high cheek bones and a beautiful nose and her necklace was made of sea jewels and 2 sapphires and a small jade trident pendent. Merrick had thick curly black short hair. His eyes are hazel. His tail is greenish-blue. His has high cheek bones and a square-jawed face. Leilani’s face is oval. Merrick’s necklace has an abalone seashell.
Leilani’s hair is down to her hips.
Leilani wears a tunic.
Merrick’s nose is like Orlando Bloom’s the actor.
Leilani has olive skin and Merrick has bronze skin."

I’ll title the final version "Leilani and Merrick" over in my SF&F gallery when it’s up, and I’ll give you a heads up here, too. If it takes me awhile to get the drawing finished after I’ve sketched it out, I’ll post it, but if it looks like I’ll finish the picture before the sketch has time to post, I’ll probably just post the finished version, since otherwise I’ll have to wait for the ticket lock to expire.
