FanArt: Kisses for Gaara

I've had this gem sitting in my sketchbook for a while now, the end result of reading one too many Naruto, and especially Gaara/Sakura fanfictions. I know, I'm slowly descending into the pits of hell... but I might as well enjoy it.

For some reason, I really like this pairing, and the idea for this drawing came easily. Sakura giving Gaara a kiss, with a traumatized Naruto bawling in the background, thinking "that should have been me!". Kankuro was added in so i could draw the kitty hat. (Couldn't resist drawing the kitty hat.) He looks pleasantly disturbed.

Anyways, much fun with this drawing. Gaara and Sakura were sketched in my sketchbook, Kankuro and Naruto on a separate page. Inks and colors courtesy of photoshop. Naruto and Kankuro done with cell shading due to the anime/chibi drawing style, while Sakura and Gaara are rendered according to my psuedo-comic style.

Clothing designs, etc are referenced from different times in the manga, as well as my own personal taste. Sakura is wearing black mostly due to the fact i was sick of coloring in red tones after finishing the colors on Gaara. Seriously, way too much red. And omigod, rendering pink hair is a nightmare.

Mmmkay, i think i've rambled enough. Enjoy the silliness.
