FanArt: To Zanarkand

Zanarkand is a fabled high-tech city that was destroyed 1,000 years ago in the world of Final Fantasy 10. The hero, Tidus, comes from there (a paradox?). He meets Yuna on his journey and it is little surprise that they fall in love. They are the two figures depicted here amongst the tendril like structures. The tendrils are based/ inspired by the opening piano music for the game originally composed by Nobuo Uematsu and called "To Zanarkand".

I like that the two characters are not in the center. Your shading of the tendrils is as always, cool, as in, interesting.

:-) Shelz Keast replies: "Thanks. The tendrils are meant to represent the rising and falling sections of the piano piece "To Zanarkand" in the game. Heh, guess it's my style of random shapes, the kind that spring from the subconscious when I'm really enjoying drawing."

Beautiful composition. It would be nice in colours too, I think.

:-) Shelz Keast replies: "I agree, it could do with colour. Maybe I'll do a colour version sometime."
