FanArt: Strange Comfort

This is a picture of Sesshoumaru and Kagome (from the InuYasha anime/manga), taken from an epic fan fiction called Tales from the House of the Moon by Resmiranda.

In the story, 50 years have passed for Sesshoumaru since the defeat of Naraku, but only 6 years have passed for Kagome. She comes back through the well to find that quite a lot has changed since her last visit to the Feudal Era, and encounters Sesshoumaru along the way.
The story so far is PG-13 and is very entertaining. It is currently at 34 chapters and still on-going, but will be ended soon.
This scene is taken from the end of Chapter 20 when Sesshoumaru and Kagome take refuge in a cave for the night, away from a winter storm. She rests her head on his shoulder and he tries to look as bored as possible, as is his way.

This was completely finished in pencil. I very rarely finish pencil drawings, so enjoy it! ^_^

14 Apr 2006	Anonymous	Loading... I must say that this is a very pretty picture with nice shading an all that. I'd never be able to do anything this good and don't hate me for my critism. Kagome kindqa looks like a guy and Sesshomaru looks like a girl, who has gained a bit of weight. Still a great picture though. J. Oliver replies: " LOL! That's hilarious. Thanks for the laugh!"

28 Jun 2006	Tomb	Loading... I'm loving the penil work, me being a pencil worker myself it is what would like to be able to do.(please tell what type of pencil i should use for shading and outline?) J. Oliver replies: "Hi! I used an 'H' pencil for the outline, and also started the first layer of shading with it. I then progressed to 'HB', '2B' and '6B' and shaded the darker areas with the softer pencils as I went along. It took a very, very long time."

This is beautiful, I can't really fault it at all! thumbs up J. Oliver replies: "Thank you very much! I'm glad you like it, and yes it took forever. I had to do it in stages because I'm just not that patient to be able to do it all at once."
