FanArt: Princess of Mercury

From Sailor Moon. Painted in 2002, this was Best of Show at Sakura-Con in Seattle in 2002. It was one of my favorite works, having taken quite some time to get the 'look' of Ami-Chan right for this piece. Ami is the most quiet and thoughtful of the 5 inner Senshi. She is shown here in a fanciful depiction of life after the series, grown up and princess on her home world of Mercury-very hot! Acrylic on masonite.

Alan Gutierrez replies: "Thanks!I never have seen any "official" Sailor Moon books or manga of their life after "stars" season, but I'm not an expert either...I do know that I and many others have done much speculation."

This is definitely one of my favorite pics on Elfwood. Alan Gutierrez replies: "Thank you! Although this is one of my older works, and not up to my present standards, I still like the feel. I wish I could have gotten commissions like this (it was a non-commissioned work)... "
