I'm letting my real-life friend Cassie title this one, as it was done for her as a birthday present. I'm not even a real Inuyasha fan, as I have never seen the anime and have only read the first graphic novel. Note that neither Miroku nor Sango appears in that.
Cassie is a romantic at heart, and this is her ship-du-jour for the show. Trust me, it's very rare for her to like something and not have a ship where she goes off to insert-fanfic-archive-here after watching it to search for romance fanfic. Unfortunately, I am a stickler for canon and at least some pretense for historical accuracy, and considering both Miroku and Sango are forma magic'd-up Feudal Japan, they aren't likely to kiss until their wedding day. Not that Cassie would probably object to fanart like that.
The background for this caused my Photoshop to give me the Error Message Of Doom (the one that means it used up all my memory doing stuff and I have to quit and restart it) several times. Normally that only happens on space art and/or art I work far too big (anything above a page in 300dpi holds that risk). This was a large but sane size. I really need to get a new hard drive.
Ooohkay...QueenofTurtleDerby or whatever other dumb titles of "granduer" you have so UNSELFISHLY bestowed upon yourself...Maybe this art is not the absolute best, but if anyone is an insult to artists, it's YOU! You obviously can't see that everyone starts somewhere, and every style is different! And if the only motivation/goal you have in life is to mock, discourage and flame other people who work hard to do something they like, then you have no life. And I almost feel inclined to pity you, and your sister. Almost. It's your flat-out lack of maturity that made me respond, and also because it makes me laugh that someone as stupid as you are would actually make such an asshole of themselves purposely. Go get a life. I heard they are on sale at K-Mart. Becky (Stareyes) Harbison replies: "Thank you so much for the sentiment, but I can fight my own battles. The best cure for trolls like that is to ignore them -- counterflaming only shows that you care enough to pay attention to them. "
Oooooo... I like the details of that cuff thingy on his wrist, the little studs. And they've got cute faces here. Your own style's starting to come together, the more you work, and this is an adorable pic. I have advice on the background landscape but since as you said, your comp was giving you the Mac version of the finger when you'd try to work on it, I'll refrain. ^_^ If I were familiar with the fandom itself, this'd probably be a favorite of mine. As it is, I like what showing through here and coming together for your own style. Your art's looking better all the time. Becky (Stareyes) Harbison replies: "Thank you very much, Zanne. I'm not sure if Ilike the way I did the eyes -- they look very paseted on yay -- and I'm half tempted to take up Photoshop inking again, or going lineless. And feel free to give me advice on the background -- at the very least it will come in handy next time. "
