FanArt: Cinderella

one night i watched the old czech faerie tale movie 'three hazelnuts for cinderella' (original title: "tri orísky pro Popelku" from 1973), one of the many versions of the lovely faerie tale. i just looooove these (old) czech faerie tale movies, they are the cutest thing and just so incredibly wonderful... after every movie i burst out of feelings and feel like doing something, so that night i felt like drawing them down.

i drew the scene where cinderella (starring Libuse Safránková - she's just the loveliest actress...) is visiting her friend rosalie, the owl, which guards her little treasures, and she is looking at the hazelnuts she just got from a friend and sighs thinking about how to meet the charming prince again... when the owl makes her take a hazelnut for her wish that will help her...

ahhh i'm just so bad at drawing i feel right now, her hands are way too small and my shading is terrible... i need to learn so much (who helps me:)? ), but hopefully i'll get there one day... well this picture is again once more just about putting down my feelings, not about perfectionism, so...

Marbach replies: "yeah i know - her hands and arms are teeeerrrrrrrrible - they got waaaaaaay too small for her...!!! and me stupid noticed that too late - probably was paying more attention to the music than to the drawing...g but thanks for the hint girl!"

Hello, we also have that movie in Norway, and every Christmas the hole family getter around the TV to watch it, in Norway it is called "tre n�tter til Askepott"(Cinderella’s three nuts) I love the drawing !! Stephanie S. K. Marbach replies: "...really?! so that tradition goes up till norway?! over here it’s the same!!! during christmas time it runs about every day on a different channel, and it’s a real MUST to watch it during that time... aaah i love that movie...! thank you ingrid for your kind comment!"
