FanArt: Tarma shena Tale'sedrin

If you've ever read the Vows and Honour duology, or any of the Tarma and Kethry stories, by Mercedes Lackey, you know exactly who this is. This is my interpretation of that wonderful Shin'a'in Swordsworn, Tarma. For those of you who don't know, the Shin'a'in are a nomadic race of people created by Ms. Lackey. Tarma swore herself the Warrior face of her goddess in order to avenge the slaughter of her Clan, Tale'sedrin. She is also sworn oathsister to Kethry. Though most Shin'a'in prefer bright colours, the Swordsworn wear muted browns, or black when on bloodfeud or ceremonial combat. And yes, fans, I am aware that she's supposed to have many small braids. I'm just not that good. *grin* And don't mind the hands... And yes, I'm aware I put the apostrophe in the wrong place on the original... Tarma and the Shin'a'in are copyright Mercedes Lackey, and no infringment is intended. I've babbled long enough. Here she is:

Tarma rules! Tarma kicks butt! Tarma - er, sorry about that, I get carried away. Anyways, I really like this pic - it's just so - Tarma, you know? It feels like Tarma, it looks like Tarma, it IS Tarma. You think you could do some other Lackey characters? Please?

Oh, whoa, this is a beyond great interpretation of Tarma! The clothing is cool, too. And the expression . . . can I worship you?

She's perfect. Her expression is great, and her plain clothing are perfect, and....Whhhoooo!!! IT IS WONDERFUL! You captured Tarma pefectly. I like the way she isn't unrealistically beautiful like most warrior women, she looks like Kal'ed'ain. (Spelling? Crazy Shin'a'in apostrophes...)

Tarma and Kethry have to be two of the all time coolest characters ever, you captured them both exactly how I saw them in my head2
I just wish Misty Lackey had or would write more about them(wistful sigh)

*Laughs* She looks as if she is facing down old(well young) King Raschar when the pair first arive in the Rethwallen Court. And I agree with K.Duran, you should do Talia...and Dirk( together) and Keisha and Darian (together as well)

I'm sure lots of other people have mentioned this, but I must say it again... Tarma rocks! And your depiction of her is amazing. It's exactly how I've always envisioned her.

I totally agree with some of the comments above. Tarma rocks! But what many people don't see is that Tarma loves children. You would go kick someoone's butt if they murdered your entire clan and you were helpless basically. And then on top of that she wakes up after the raid staring into the face of her dead little sister. I hope you do more drawings like this. PLEASE will you, pretty please, draw Alberich. I am so hooked on that guy. His story is so sad. At least at first. I mean he was betrayed by his own country.
