FanArt: Fiend without a Face

A monster based on a movie from the 1950s called "Fiend without a Face".

The movie was about a town in 1950s Canada that was plagued by mysterious deaths in which the victims had their brains sucked from their skulls. At first the town's people thought that the deaths were caused by radiation from a nuclear plant at an American Air Base. But later it was discovered that a rogue Scientist living in the town had illegally tapped into the Nuclear Plant's power and was conducting experiments at creating life from the mere thoughts of his own mind using the nuclear energy to boost his mind's power. The result of his experiments was a creature resembling a crawling brain that lived by feeding on the brains of humans.

For its time the movie was pretty scary. I wonder if they'll make an updated version like they have with other classic sci-fi movies from the 1950s and 60s. Anyways, it's one of my favorites right up there with the original "BLOB".

This image was created mostly with digital painting using Photoshop. I used a photo of my own mouth for the teeth and a photo I took of my eyes for the creature's eyes at the end of those eye stalks. No screen shots from the movie were used.

Oh grossenheimer. But what a great and totally weird concept! It cracks me up that you used pics of your own eyes and mouth to put this together. That is just great! Thanks for giving me a rather freaked-out chuckle. ;o)

EEeeeewwwww...you did a good job making it look slimy! I hope that if the movie gets remade, the producers don't screw it up like they do every other remake. Sometimes those bad old movies have a certain humorous charm.

1 Steven P. Love replies: "Thanks for visiting. Yes, many remakes do get messed up by the current day directors. But a few are pretty good."
