FanArt: The Galaxy... is at Peace?

The first upload to Elfwood since the comic I did including Link in the summer. For Layout class we had to do a character in a room... I decided to do Samus in Mother Brain's Chamber. Light Blue and Indigo Col Erase pencil on animation paper. Overlay of the characters, 12 field, and bg in photoshop and inversion of colors. My first Metroid fan art.

Its very nice artwork indeed.

kt...katherine..whatev.Artist: Nope, actually I've played the first three Metroid games, and I remember seeing Samus in the Captain N cartoons when I was a kid, but I haven't played any of the Gamecube or Gameboy Advance Metroids.

I remember this from Metroid Zero Mission (great game).

Great job! This is really a nice drawing.

I'm going to draw a picture of Samus soon, then I'll submit it to a web site.Artist: Nice, I just played Metroid Zero Mission this year... oh Metroid... where would I be without your series?

I see someone's a fan of Andrew Jones.. XD And if you're not already, play Prime 1 and 2 and unlock the image galleries! Lovely work. 1 (Andrew Jones is Prime's concept artist.)Artist: Actually, I have to say quite honestly that I hadn't looked at Andrew Jones' work until after you mentioned him here. I've yet to play Prime 2, but... well... Prime 1 looks pretty... I'm just not a 1st person shooter fan

That's-a-really-great-pic
I-love-the-metroid-games-there-right-up-there-with-the-Final-Fantasy-and-Zelda-Games.-do-you-have-any-advice-for-ppl-who-want-to-be-able-to-draw-like-that?

P.S.
Sorry-about-having-to-type-like-this-but-my-space-bar-is-screwed-upArtist: Well, this was a homework assignment... so if you want tips, I'd say that you should study perspective. This was a layout assignment where I had to draw floor, ceiling and wall grids, and place a character in the room. Look up some 2-point perspective tutorials on the net, or try taking art in school.

Wow, that's amazing! I really like the style. I rarely see stuff like that.

I've never played Metroid myself (except for that demo that came with my DS) but I always wanted to play one of the older ones. Hopefully they'll be downloadable on Revolution whenever I get it... someday.

This is an interesting style, and I think it's awesome. I played through that scene in Metroid: Zero Mission (the only Metroid game I know). Come on, let's see another Metroid picture!
