FanArt: Vegeta and Bulma

And who would've thought that DBZ would be the next victim of my fan art? MUAHAHAHA. Yes, I have recently become a fan of Dragon Ball Z and here's my tribute to it. I've read manga volumes 1 through 14 and seen only a couple of the episodes on Cartoon Network every once in a while.

ANYWAY, about the picture, I really like the idea of Vegeta and Bulma being a couple but they never show any male-female relationships in the manga (haven't seen much of the anime) besides talking about it once or twice (I don't believe they EVER mention the word 'love'). So I was pissed, so I created this; cause and effect. ^_^ If you're wondering why Bulma isn't fatter or uglier, it's because I used reference pics from the manga and not the anime (she's a WHOLE lot prettier in the manga). Vegeta is also kinda hot in this pic. It took me forever to make him not look angry (I've never seen a picture of him where his eyebrows are not fixed downward). The picture is also supposed to be happening sometime between when the teenage Trunks shows up the first time and before Bulma gets pregnant. I swear, the only reason they have women in that series is to reproduce!

Ps. Hmmm... what sweet-nothings (more like 'nothing-sweets' since it's Vegeta LOL) could Vegeta be murmuring into Bulma's ear?

Just wanted to say that I think you drew Vegeta very well, including giving him a tender expression. Bulma looks a bit odd to me, but not because you based her off the manga (I have some of the manga, myself, or used to).. I think you drew her eyes a bit too small, but it’s difficult for me to be sure, right now (don’t have a reference image to look at handy, at the moment).

I really like your fanart! It’s very cute.
I love fanart and doujin that deal with their relationship, or our imaginings of what it was like!
I do have a problem though, if you used the manga as reference, you should have made Bulma’s hair lavender/purple. >___>;;
Otherwise, fantastic.
