FanArt: Chrono Trigger- Magus

WOW I did it!!! I dit it!!! My very first time I've drawn a MAN!!! So if he looks a bit feminine you know why ;). I really enjoyed playing Chrono Trigger (it's a looooooong time ago I played it!), and Magus/Janus was my favorite character! So here goes: *yaaaay for Magus!!* I made this pic very quickly (so if you have any suggestions, please leave a comment) and the outcome is a 'early twenties' kind of Magus/Janus I think. I hope you like it!! ^_^! Oh yeah, and I know the kitty(Alfador) looks really weird, but oh well. July 2004.

I'm in the same boat as you--I draw males far less than I do females. In fact I think the only male character that I have in either of my Elfwood galleries is Magus, lol.

I don't think Alfador looks weird. Cats can be difficult to draw, but considering the way you've done the rest of the picture he fits in fine 2

2 Wendalin E. van de Giessen replies: "Hi Becky! I couldn't find any pic of Magus in your gallery, I was curious to see your try at drawing male characters! yeah, Alfador doesn't look weird, just a bit, ehm, frolic? happy? with his little tooth sticking out and all. ^_^"

Yeeeeeeaaaaaah it's the MAGUS!
*laughs* It's funny how you've drawn the Magus looking dark and brooding, and Alfador all cutesy and affectionate!
True, he does look effeminate. I think that's because of his jaw: you've given him a very female, pointed little chin. Try making the chin larger and more square when you draw men.

2 Wendalin E. van de Giessen replies: "Haha!!! Yes, Everytime I see the brooding face of Magus and I scroll down and all of a sudden see the "purring" face of Alfador it makes me giggle.. ^_^ It looks a bit stupid! Thanks for you suggestion, I'll try to keep that in mind the next time I draw a man. ^_^ "

My goodness, how come I have not yet commented on this picture! OUTRAGEOUS! *lol* And duh, if you think he looks feminine just take another look at my Magus. 10 This is definitely a guy! Besides, I look femme-looking guys! And ACK, CUTE KITTY!!! *huggles* He's looks so amusing, all snuggly and happy while Magus is all dark and brooding! ^-^

I like this one.. I think it's funny that while Guile.. Jap name Alf.. yes.. XD maybe that's why they put Guile and Magus together all the time.
